You’ll find releases from THE MOTES, Jonhut, Sixtoo and at least a dozen others. Within certain circles on the east coast, the influence Ant Records and their artists had can not be stated strongly enough. Not bad for a label started in Truro at that!

J. LaPointe [North of America, THE MOTES], at least one of if not the one behind this collection, has mastered a literal who’s who of east coast artists. We’ll definitely have to profile him and his Archive Mastering sometime this year.

Synopsis:

A two-way journey across a lonely city and the walls that divide us in our dreams and waking states. A woman finds refuge from the outside world within her sparse bedroom. She falls asleep and dreams of a businessman going about his daily routine. He falls asleep and dreams of her. The walls of reality become convoluted as their worlds cross over. Who is the dream and who is the dreamer? This is the debut film from Jon Hutt, a long-time contributor to the Halifax independent music and art scene. Featuring original music by INSTRUMENTS.
