| Drake Hotel seeking music for new food blog | |
Our Executive Chef, Anthony Rose, is starting a food blog on our website which should be launching in the next week or so. He wants make this a little more interactive by adding a musical element and is interested in featuring our favorite local and indie bands… which is why I’m reaching out to you. Each blog will feature 3 different songs on a radio player that plays automatically while people read the blog.
What’s in it for you, you might ask? Well let me tell you.
-1200 unique hits to our website each day with the blog featured prominently on the front page of the site for the launch.
-Extra promo through the Eake (online newsletter) for the launch of the blog.
-Link to your website or myspace at the bottom of the blog.
-Name of the band and title of song scrolling across the bottom of the radio player. What do I need from you?
-your best song recorded at its best. By this I mean that I don’t want any live recordings or basement demos. I know you all have CDs (cause I own most of them), so please send along your favorite MP3.
-your permission for us to use it on the blog… We don’t have the budget to pay for the use of the songs so we’re asking you to let us use it for free in exchange for the promo you will receive.I will be curating the playlists based on how they all fit together month by month, so if you don’t get on the first one, that doesn’t mean I won’t keep it for another month down the line.
I’m looking to get the first one wrapped up in the next couple of days so please send me your submissions as soon as possible.
