So this has been on YouTube for a year now but I just saw it last week. It is a simple minute long clip but the song is so catchy and joyous it almost makes you think that no matter what you’re going to have a good day.
I’m painting the ceiling at the Rock Garden, hoping to manage to get at least the first coat done on a minimum of half the ceiling. And I plan on posting here today a fair bit - these goals are actually my plans for the next two days. I have a back log of items I wanted to post and hope to clean through those as well.
In short I didn’t!
On Monday I posted a nice poster for an Al Tuck and Jon Epworth guitar duel show having thought I missed it.
Turns out I failed to take note that it was noted as happening on Wednesday the 23rd - Monday was the 23rd and today is Wednesday and I should have know shows there are typically Wednesdays.
So the show is tonight and it should be a good one - Jon has been writing new material for just such shows [solo/acoustic] and Al Tuck is always enjoyable.
Sad thing is - I will probably still miss the show tonight. Fun
t would appear that the fine folks at the One World are sold out of tickets. We have a bunch down here at CKDU and will do our best to run some more up to the cafe this afternoon.
If you can’t make it to the One World or to the station this afternoon, fret not - TICKETS WILL BE FOR SALE AT THE DOCK!
If you want to check in about ticket availability, give us a call at 494-6479. We can let you know how things are looking.

Two Hours Traffic’s Little Jabs hit stores yesterday and as promised i (heart) music has some free copies to give away as well.
From the review: “Little Jabs is one of the catchiest, most perfect summer albums ever made”. High praise indeed, especially for “someone who basically hates this kind of music”.
Don’t believe him:
I’m generally not a fan of East Coast pop-rock. I can’t say I like Joel Plaskett all that much (”Nowhere With You” excepted). I have very little time for Sloan. Wintersleep and In-Flight Safety and Matt Mays and all those other bands from the Maritimes pretty much bleed together, as far as I’m concerned.
Scandalous! Well if he lived here.
Anyways - go try and get a free copy of Little Jabs for your little fingers!
