So the blogging has been pretty lack as of late…I could blame twitter [post on less blogging] and while I am sure that played some role in distracting me I had better reasons.
Over the summer I spent a good deal of time working to make changes to my main business that pays my bills, The Rock Garden. That effort is about to pay off and with that many [small] changes will be coming to the space starting in November.
I also set up and started my first corporation:
I Tuned Out Music Consulting and Software Development Inc.
Catchy name no?!
The first project for ITOMC&SDI [!!] is going to be another attempt at crowd funding musicians via fan donations/support. Called IOUmusic, we are finishing up the final details to launch version 0.1
The other thing I have been busy with is working on getting the house of Myles Deck and the Fuzz in order [see other recent posts on those guys].
But…
So my summer was busy but it also involved the first extended vacation I have had since becoming self-employed almost 5 years ago. And I used that time wisely by getting married in Cape Breton. Hands down the best decision I have made to date. It was such an amazing day. Months later it makes me smile instantly thinking about how scary it started – was pouring, everything was planned for outside with no real back-up plan [go entrepreneurs!] – but ended up perfect and as I hoped it would be for Joi.
She walked down the aisle to Radiohead’s “Motion Picture Soundtrack” – which was kind of fitting because I kind of felt like I was in a movie marrying her.
The deed was done:

Then we took a view pictures near the lake, before going to an abandoned gas station…and we took some very nice pictures there…then put masks on [ALL her idea, just makes me love her more]:

More pics for the curious
And our first dance [thanks for the reminder Joe and Adrianna!] was to Stevie Wonder’s “I Believe (When I Fall in Love)”:
Next year is going to be a good one, but it will be tough to beat that day in July for me.
